No, the 59Fifty is a fitted cap, meaning it comes in specific sizes to provide a secure, consistent fit without adjustment straps.
No, machine washing can damage the structure and the shape of the crown. Always spot clean with a damp cloth.
It is the model name of New Era's flagship fitted cap style, which has been the standard for professional baseball players since 1994.
While listed as male-oriented in the variant data, the 59Fifty is a unisex-friendly design suitable for anyone seeking a classic, fitted baseball cap style.
The 59Fifty is designed with a flat visor, which users can choose to curve manually if they prefer that aesthetic.
Since 59Fifty caps are fitted, confirm your exact head size in inches or centimeters to ensure the correct numerical size is selected before purchase.
Gently work the visor with your hands, curving it incrementally until it reaches your desired shape; it will hold the curve over time.
Use a lint roller or a piece of adhesive tape to safely remove particles from the fabric surface without damaging the embroidery.
To ensure your 59Fifty provides the best fit, measure the circumference of your head just above your ears before selecting your size. Because this is a fitted cap, there are no buckles or straps to adjust. When caring for your cap, avoid machine washing or drying, as high heat can shrink the material and distort the crown. Instead, use a soft, damp cloth to spot clean any dust or stains. If the cap loses its shape, you can use a cap steaming tool or simply handle it with care to maintain the integrity of the buckram internal support.
