Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: Ensure spikes are correctly screwed into the designated receptacles on the spike plate. Use the provided tool for insertion and removal. For optimal performance and traction, select spikes appropriate for the track surface (e.g., shorter, finer spikes for synthetic tracks; longer, more aggressive spikes for cinders).
Compatibility: These track spikes are designed for competition running on regulated track and field surfaces. They are not recommended for use on roads, trails, or general training surfaces, as this can damage the spikes and the shoe.
Care: After each use, remove any debris or dirt from the spike plate and shoe. Store the spikes in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. To clean, use a damp cloth and mild soap if necessary. Avoid machine washing or submerging the shoes in water. Allow them to air dry completely.
