The Mylands Notting Hill No.213 Multi-Surface Dead Matt Paint is an ideal choice for homeowners and interior designers seeking a sophisticated, calm, and understated blue finish for their living spaces. Derived from a historic restoration project in Notting Hill, this unique shade uses subtle umber and orange undertones to ensure a balanced, versatile look that complements whites and yellows beautifully. While its dead matt finish provides an elegant, non-reflective aesthetic, users should note that the ultra-flat texture may show marks more easily than higher-sheen finishes in high-traffic areas.

While it is a multi-surface paint, the dead matt finish is not specifically formulated for high-humidity or high-moisture environments; consider a dedicated kitchen or bathroom paint for those areas.
Yes, for the best and most durable results, we recommend using a high-quality primer compatible with your specific surface type.
Yes, as a multi-surface paint, it can be used on furniture, though note that the dead matt finish is porous and may show fingerprints or oils more readily than a satin or gloss finish.
Two coats are generally recommended for full coverage and the most accurate color representation.
Yes, the dead matt finish is designed to be as close to light-absorbing as possible, providing a flat, elegant aesthetic.
Ensure the surface is properly primed and apply at least two coats for full, consistent color opacity.
Avoid aggressive scrubbing; dead matt paints have a lower durability to friction compared to higher sheen paints.
To ensure the best results, start with a clean, dry, and primed surface. The paint is highly versatile but works best when applied with high-quality synthetic brushes or rollers to ensure an even distribution of the matt pigment. For care, avoid using abrasive sponges or harsh chemicals that can burnish or damage the delicate matt surface. Instead, clean dust with a soft, dry microfiber cloth and address minor marks by gently dabbing with a slightly damp, lint-free cloth without scrubbing.
