This is normal. The corten steel will naturally develop its bronze-rusty patina after being exposed to outdoor humidity and weather conditions over time.
Before installation, ensure you have purchased compatible hinges, latches, and posts that fit an 85 cm wide opening. Since this product is delivered as a kit, you must perform the final assembly using the provided hardware. Care for this gate is minimal; once the bronze patina has developed, it acts as a protective layer, meaning you should not apply sealants, paints, or abrasive cleaners. Simply rinse with a hose occasionally if debris collects in the laser-cut bamboo patterns.
