Setup, Compatibility & Care
Surface Preparation: Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, and flaking paint. Fill any cracks or holes and sand smooth. For previously painted surfaces, a light sanding may be necessary. Prime bare plaster, brick, or masonry with a suitable Johnstone's Trade primer. For stained surfaces, use a specific stain-blocking primer before applying StainAway.
Compatibility: Suitable for application on interior walls and ceilings. Not recommended for use in areas subject to constant wetness, such as shower cubicles or directly around baths without adequate ventilation and protection.
Application: Stir well before use. Apply using a brush, roller, or spray. Two coats are typically recommended for best results. Avoid painting in excessively cold, hot, or humid conditions. Ensure good ventilation during application and drying.
Care: Clean spills and marks as soon as possible using a damp, clean cloth. For tougher stains, use a mild detergent solution and a soft sponge or cloth. Rinse the area with clean water afterwards. Avoid abrasive cleaners or tools, which can damage the paint finish.
