The shoe’s construction includes a staggered collar that wraps around the ankle, following the natural alignment of the ankle's bony protrusions for an asymmetrical shape. The R4 outsole provides moderate stiffness for a balance of comfort and pedaling efficiency, featuring a lower profile with 15% infused carbon fiber for optimized structure. It also offers efficient ventilation with internal channeling for temperature regulation. The cleat placement is slightly further back than traditional positions, optimizing pedaling efficiency and reducing knee compression, ideal for aggressive aero riding positions.
