Troubleshooting

Water is penetrating the fabric.

Check if the garment needs to be re-proofed, as the waterproof coating may have worn off. Apply a suitable waterproofing treatment.

The trousers feel too tight or restrictive.

Ensure you have the correct size. Remember these are designed to fit over other clothing. Consider layering with thinner clothing underneath or sizing up for comfort.

The seams are leaking.

Inspect the seams for damage. If damaged, contact Regatta customer service. If not damaged, re-proof the garment with a seam-sealer product.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

These overtrousers are ready to use out of the bag; no setup is required. They are designed to be worn over existing clothing, making them compatible with various outfits. To care for the overtrousers:

  1. Washing: Machine wash on a gentle cycle, using a mild detergent. Avoid fabric softeners, as they can reduce the waterproof effectiveness.
  2. Drying: Line dry or tumble dry on a low setting. Do not iron.
  3. Storage: Store in a cool, dry place when not in use. Ensure they are completely dry before storing to prevent mildew.
  4. Re-proofing: The waterproof performance may diminish over time. Use a suitable waterproof reproofing treatment, following the manufacturer's instructions, to restore the water repellency.
