The Winmau Epix Steel Tip Darts are engineered for intermediate to advanced dart players who prioritize consistency and tactile feedback during their throw. By utilizing the proprietary Hex-Tech grip, these 24g darts offer exceptional control and stability, though they may require an adjustment period for players who are accustomed to traditional knurled or smooth barrel designs.

While beginners can use them, the 24g weight and aggressive grip are generally preferred by players who have already developed a consistent throwing technique.
No. These are steel tip darts and are designed specifically for sisal/bristle boards. Using them on a plastic board will cause permanent damage to the machine.
Regular cleaning with a soft-bristled brush will prevent sweat and chalk from filling the precision grooves.
The heavier 24g weight provides a more stable flight path and increased kinetic energy, which helps the dart pierce the board more deeply.
The points are factory-fitted. Replacing them requires specialized repointing tools and should be handled by experienced users or professionals.
Ensure the points are properly sharpened and not rounded off. Verify the board is not overly compressed by rotating it periodically.
Clean the barrel with a soft brush and a small amount of warm soapy water to remove accumulated skin oils or debris.
Check that all three stems and flights are identical in length and shape. Replace any flight that is bent or torn.
To maximize the life of your Epix darts, ensure they are used exclusively with regulation sisal (bristle) dartboards. Avoid throwing at concrete or hard surfaces, as this will blunt the steel points. If the points become dull over time, use a high-quality diamond dart sharpener to restore the taper, being careful not to remove too much metal. Keep the barrel clean by wiping it with a dry microfiber cloth to remove chalk or skin oils that can clog the Hex-Tech grip patterns. Regularly inspect your flights and stems for damage; even minor nicks or bends can alter the flight path, so replace them as soon as wear becomes visible.
