FAQs
Can I use the scale if I am pregnant?
It is generally recommended to use the scale only for weight measurement during pregnancy, as the impedance current is not advised for use during this time.
Is the scale compatible with Apple Health or Google Fit?
Yes, the Salter Balance App typically supports syncing data with major health platforms like Apple Health and Google Fit.
How many users can the scale track?
The Salter Balance App allows you to set up multiple user profiles to track individual health progress separately.
What should I do if the display shows an error message?
Refer to the user manual for specific error codes, but typically an error indicates the scale needs to be reset by removing and reinserting the batteries.
Does the scale need to be on a hard surface?
Yes, for accurate readings, the scale must be placed on a firm, level floor. Carpets or uneven surfaces will interfere with the sensors.
Troubleshooting
Scale fails to connect to the smartphone app
Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone and the scale is within range. Try restarting both the app and the scale.
Inconsistent or inaccurate weight readings
Check that the scale is positioned on a hard, flat, and stable floor surface; avoid carpets or rugs.
