FAQs
Are these slippers suitable for wide feet?
The slippers are designed with a regular shoe width. While the materials offer some flexibility, individuals with significantly wide feet may find them a snug fit. Trying them on in person or checking customer reviews regarding fit for wider feet is recommended.
Can I wear these slippers outdoors?
The durable natural rubber sole provides good traction and is suitable for brief outdoor use, such as walking to the mailbox or stepping onto a patio. However, they are primarily designed as indoor slippers and prolonged outdoor wear may reduce their lifespan and comfort.
How do I clean the memory foam footbed?
The memory foam footbed should be cleaned gently. Use a slightly damp cloth to wipe it down. Avoid soaking the footbed or using harsh cleaning agents. Ensure it airs dry completely.
What does '90% Recycled polyester upper and lining' mean for comfort?
This means that the majority of the material used for the slipper's exterior and interior is made from recycled plastic bottles, transformed into polyester fibers. This sustainable approach does not compromise on the soft feel, especially when combined with the organic cotton insole and memory foam.
How do I find the right size?
The slippers are available in UK adult sizes. Refer to the sizing chart provided by Hush Puppies or compare with your regular shoe size. These are slip-on slippers, so a proper fit ensures they stay on your feet comfortably.
What is the main benefit of the natural rubber sole?
The natural rubber sole provides high traction, offering good grip on various indoor surfaces, and is also durable, contributing to the longevity of the slipper.
Are these slippers machine washable?
No, these slippers are not machine washable. Machine washing can damage the recycled materials and affect the shape and comfort. Spot cleaning with a damp cloth and air drying is the recommended care method.
Troubleshooting
Slippers feel too tight or too loose.
Ensure you have selected the correct UK size. As the footbed is designed to mold to your foot, initial wear might feel different. If persistently uncomfortable, consider if the regular width is suitable for your foot shape. Exchanging for a different size is recommended.
Slippers lose their shape.
Avoid machine washing or drying, as this can distort the materials. If the slippers become misshapen, try gently reshaping them by hand while damp and allow them to air dry completely.
Soles show signs of wear.
The natural rubber sole is durable for indoor use and light outdoor wear. For extended outdoor use, consider an alternative footwear. Clean the soles regularly to maintain grip and appearance.
Material feels stiff after cleaning.
Ensure you are using a damp, not wet, cloth for cleaning and that the slippers are air-dried naturally. Avoid direct heat which can make materials stiff.

Setup: The Hush Puppies The Good Slipper requires no setup. Simply remove from packaging and wear. Ensure you have selected the correct UK size for optimal fit.
Compatibility: These slippers are designed for adult men and are compatible with regular shoe widths. They are best suited for indoor environments but can be worn for short outdoor trips on dry surfaces.
Care:
- Cleaning the Upper and Lining: Due to the recycled polyester material, it is recommended to spot clean with a damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or machine washing, as this can damage the fibers and affect the shape.
- Cleaning the Footbed: The organic cotton insole and recycled foam footbed can be gently wiped with a slightly damp cloth. Ensure they are air-dried completely afterward.
- Sole Care: The natural rubber sole can be wiped clean with a damp cloth. For stubborn dirt, a mild soap solution can be used, followed by rinsing with a clean damp cloth.
- Drying: Always air dry slippers away from direct heat or sunlight to prevent material shrinkage or damage.
