Yes, it can be machine washed, but it is advised to use a gentle cycle with a mild detergent designed for technical waterproof gear.
It serves as a great outer shell in winter, but since it is lightweight, you will need to layer underneath with thermal or fleece garments.
No, this specific model features two external hidden waterproof side pockets.
It features a 3000mvp rating, which is sufficient for light to moderate activity, preventing moisture buildup inside.
The polyester construction is relatively quiet compared to heavier, rubberized waterproof fabrics, making it comfortable for long hikes.
The Durable Water Repellent (DWR) coating may need reactivating or refreshing with a specialized spray-on treatment.
Check for fabric debris caught in the teeth and gently clean with a soft brush; applying a silicone-based lubricant can help smooth movement.
To maintain the jacket's performance, ensure all zippers are fully closed during rain. When cleaning, avoid harsh detergents that can degrade the waterproof coating; use a specialized technical fabric wash if possible. Air drying is recommended to preserve the integrity of the material. For storage, hang the jacket in a cool, dry place rather than folding it tightly, as this helps maintain the structure and effectiveness of the water-resistant treatment.
