Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the longevity of your Nike Vaporfly trainers, proper care is essential.
- Break-in period: Wear the shoes for a few short, low-intensity runs before attempting a long race or marathon to allow your feet to adapt to the arch support and foam response.
- Surface selection: While durable, these are not trail shoes; avoid gravel, mud, or rocky paths to prevent premature outsole wear.
- Cleaning: Clean your trainers by hand using a soft brush, warm water, and mild soap. Never submerge the shoes completely in water.
- Storage: Always air-dry your shoes naturally in a shaded area. Direct sunlight and high heat sources like radiators can degrade the foam composition and cause the adhesives to weaken.
