Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your boots last through the season, follow these essential care steps:
- Break-in Period: Leather boots benefit from a gradual break-in. Wear them in low-intensity training sessions before match day.
- Cleaning: After every game, remove mud with a soft-bristled brush. Use a damp cloth to wipe the leather clean. Avoid submerging the boots in water.
- Drying: Air dry naturally away from direct heat sources like radiators or sunlight, as excessive heat will crack and harden the leather.
- Storage: Use cedar shoe trees or crumpled newspaper inside the boots to help them retain their shape while drying.
- Compatibility: These boots are designed specifically for Firm Ground (FG) pitches. Avoid using them on artificial turf or concrete, as this will lead to premature stud wear and material degradation.
