Full details

The Puma Epic Flip V2 is an ideal choice for active children who need a reliable, easy-to-wear sandal for poolside activities, beach days, or casual summer outings. These sandals provide a stable, comfortable base with a durable grip, making them perfect for wet or dry surfaces; however, as a thong-style sandal, they may require a brief adjustment period for children who are not accustomed to toe-post footwear.

FAQs

Are these sandals waterproof?

Yes, they are designed for poolside and beach use and can safely get wet without compromising the materials.

How do I determine the right size?

These sandals follow standard UK children's sizing; we recommend measuring your child's foot length and comparing it to the size chart.

Can these be put in a washing machine?

It is recommended to clean them by hand using a damp cloth or mild soap and water to preserve the durability of the materials.

Are the toe posts uncomfortable?

The Epic Flip V2 uses soft webbing for the toe post to maximize comfort and reduce the likelihood of friction-related irritation.

Can children run in these?

While the grip is excellent, flip-flops offer less stability and security than strapped sandals or sneakers; they are best used for walking and leisure.

Troubleshooting

Toe post irritation

Ensure the child is wearing the correct size and allow a short break-in period for the soft webbing to adjust to the shape of the foot.

Slippers feel loose or slip off

Verify that the UK size corresponds correctly to the child's foot length; flip-flops naturally have a looser fit than closed-toe shoes.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Quick slip-on functionality
Excellent grip for water-adjacent activities
Contoured footbed for improved stability
Soft webbing material prevents toe irritation

Cons

Thong-style design may not suit all foot types
Open construction provides minimal foot protection
Not intended for high-intensity sports or running

Setup, Compatibility & Care

These sandals are ready to wear straight out of the box with no assembly required. To ensure a proper fit, verify the UK size matches your child's current shoe size requirements. For care, keep them clean by wiping away mud or sand with a damp cloth after outdoor use. If they become heavily soiled, you can hand-wash them with mild soap and cold water; air dry them away from direct sunlight or extreme heat sources to prevent material warping or adhesive damage.
