Nubuck is a top-grain leather that has been lightly sanded or buffed on the outer surface to create a fine, velvet-like nap. Suede, on the other hand, is made from the inner split of a hide, resulting in a softer, more fibrous nap. Nubuck tends to be more durable and thicker than suede.

For routine cleaning, use a specialized nubuck brush to gently remove dirt and restore the nap. For tougher stains, apply a dedicated nubuck cleaner according to its instructions. Always allow the boots to air dry naturally and avoid using water or soap directly on the nubuck.

While the nubuck upper is durable, these boots are not inherently waterproof. We highly recommend applying a suitable nubuck and suede protector spray to add a layer of water resistance, especially if you plan to wear them in damp conditions.

The heel height for these boots is 23mm, offering a comfortable and subtle lift that is ideal for all-day wear without straining your feet.

The wide fit is designed to provide extra room across the ball of the foot and toe area. If you frequently find standard width shoes too snug or experience pressure on the sides of your feet, the wide fit may offer the comfort you need.

Due to their nubuck material and internal textile linings, the Hotter Whisper Ankle Boots are best suited for cooler seasons such as autumn and winter, providing warmth and comfort. They may feel too warm for summer wear.

Forest Green is a versatile and rich color. It pairs beautifully with neutral tones like beige, brown, grey, and black. It also complements earthy tones, denim, and can add a subtle pop of color to more monochrome outfits.

Gently rub the affected area with a dedicated nubuck brush. This helps to lift the nap and restore the material's original appearance. For deeper scuffs, a specialized nubuck eraser can also be used.

Ensure you are wearing socks of appropriate thickness. The leather upper may also require a slight break-in period, during which it will mold to the unique shape of your foot. If discomfort persists, consider trying a half size larger or consulting a footwear specialist.

Gently rub a pencil lead or a tiny amount of zipper lubricant (like zipper wax, not oil) along the zipper teeth. This often helps to smooth the mechanism. Keep the zipper clean from dirt and debris.

Allow the boots to air dry completely away from direct heat. Once dry, use a nubuck brush to remove loose dirt. For watermarks or deeper stains, apply a specialized nubuck cleaner sparingly with a clean cloth, following product instructions, then brush the nap back into place.

Ensure boots are fully aired out after each wear. Use shoe deodorizers or sprinkle baking soda inside the boots overnight (remove before wearing). Replacing insoles with fresh, breathable ones can also help.
