No, the VEVOR Katzenlaufrad is a freestanding unit, though it should be placed on a level floor for stability.
You can vacuum the carpet regularly or detach it for a more thorough wash if it becomes heavily soiled.
The safety lock allows you to stop the wheel rotation entirely, which is useful for cleaning or preventing access.
Check that the wheel is on a perfectly level surface and ensure no fur or debris is caught in the axle mechanism.
Use the included cat teaser to encourage movement and consider applying a small amount of catnip on the running surface to spark interest.
Always engage the integrated safety lock when the wheel is not in use to prevent accidental rotation.
Assembly should be performed on a spacious area of flooring. Ensure all fasteners are tightened securely to maintain structural integrity. This model is specifically calibrated for cats weighing between 7.7 and 11.3 kg; using it with animals significantly outside this range may impact performance or safety. To care for your unit, regularly vacuum the carpet track to remove fur and debris. If the carpet becomes heavily soiled, remove it carefully for a thorough wash. Keep the moving parts free of hair buildup by performing a monthly visual inspection of the rollers and central axle.
