The North Face Quest Insulated Jacket is designed for adult males seeking reliable warmth and waterproof protection during wet-weather hikes. Its key benefit is combining DryVent waterproof technology with Heatseeker synthetic insulation for consistent comfort and compressibility. A potential caveat is its regular fit, which may not suit all preferences. This jacket features two-layer waterproof DryVent fabric, breathable construction, Heatseeker insulation, water-resistant zippers, a fixed adjustable hood, zippered hand pockets, and an adjustable hem and cuffs.

This jacket is best suited for cool to cold, wet weather conditions, such as rain, light snow, and windy days, making it ideal for hiking and outdoor activities.
Machine wash cold with like colors using powder detergent. Tumble dry on low heat. Avoid bleach, ironing, and dry cleaning.
Yes, the jacket features a fixed hood with a one-way adjustment for a customized fit.
The jacket provides good warmth with its Heatseeker insulation, but for extreme cold, it is recommended to layer it with additional thermal base and mid-layers.
DryVent is The North Face's proprietary waterproof and breathable technology, designed to keep you dry from the inside out.
The jacket uses two-layer DryVent fabric with fully taped seams, providing waterproof protection. The zippers are water-resistant, helping to keep moisture out.
The jacket is highly compressible, meaning it can be packed down into a small size, making it very convenient for travel or carrying in a backpack.
Ensure zippers are fully closed and water-resistant finishes are intact. Check for any damage to the DryVent fabric or taped seams. Re-evaluate fabric care to ensure DWR (Durable Water Repellent) treatment is not compromised.
Verify that the Heatseeker insulation is evenly distributed and not compressed. Consider layering with additional thermal base or mid-layers for colder conditions. Ensure no drafts are entering through open hem or cuffs.
Gently try to pull the zipper. If it feels stuck on fabric, carefully free the fabric. If the zipper pull is damaged, it may require repair or replacement by a professional.
Some waterproof fabrics can produce noise. This is normal and typically diminishes with wear. Ensure the jacket is not too tight, which can exacerbate noise.
Setup: This jacket requires no assembly. Simply unpack and wear.
Compatibility: Designed for adult males, it is suitable for general outdoor activities such as hiking, trekking, and casual wear in cool, wet weather. It is compatible with other layers for added warmth.
