Full details
The Matrix XTR Grey Short Match Kit is a high-performance 2.0m pole accessory designed for anglers who prioritize stealth and precision in shallow or margin fishing scenarios. Featuring a specialized grey carbon finish to minimize spooking fish, this lightweight kit offers excellent handling and structural integrity; however, its specific 2.0m length and elastic rating mean it is not intended for heavy-duty big-carp work.

Troubleshooting
Elastic sticking inside the kit
Clean the internal bore with warm soapy water and apply a high-quality PTFE-based lubricant to the elastic.

Check that the internal puller bead is not snagged and ensure the elastic is not twisted around the internal mounting.
Surface tape peeling at the edges
Carefully trim any loose edges with a sharp craft blade and avoid excessive scrubbing during cleaning.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
To set up your kit, thread your elastic through the pre-fitted 3.8mm internal PTFE bush. If you need to replace the bush, ensure you use a compatible internal size to prevent damage to the carbon. Always clean the 'Glide' finish with a soft, damp cloth after every session to maintain its low-friction properties; avoid abrasive sponges or cleaning agents that could degrade the tape. For transport, ensure the kit is broken down and stored in a hard-shell protective tube to prevent accidental crushing of the thin-walled carbon sections.
