FAQs

Are these sandals waterproof?

No, they are made of leather and are not designed to be submerged in water or used in heavy rain.

How do I determine my size?

The Regatta Palma series follows standard UK adult sizing. It is recommended to choose your typical shoe size.

What is TECFOAM?

TECFOAM is a proprietary open-cell foam used in the insock to provide superior cushioning and shock absorption.

Can I replace the insock?

The TECFOAM insock is integrated into the footbed design and is not intended to be removed or replaced.

Can I use these for long-distance hiking?

No, these are casual sandals meant for everyday wear and walking, not for rugged or long-distance hiking.

How do I maintain the leather?

Keep them clean with a damp cloth and apply a leather conditioner periodically to prevent the material from drying out.

Troubleshooting

Buckle feels loose over time

Check the buckle pin and the holes on the strap; ensure the strap is fed through the keepers correctly.

Leather looks dull

Apply a small amount of leather polish or conditioner to restore the natural shine and moisture.

Minor discomfort during break-in

Wear the sandals for short periods inside your home with socks to gently stretch the leather before taking them out for long walks.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure your Regatta Palma sandals last as long as possible, follow these care guidelines:

  1. Cleaning: Wipe the leather surface with a soft, slightly damp cloth to remove dust and dirt. Avoid soaking the leather.
  2. Conditioning: Use a quality leather conditioner every few months to keep the material supple and prevent cracking.
  3. Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, which can fade the leather color over time.
  4. Moisture: If the sandals get wet, allow them to air dry naturally at room temperature. Never place them near a heater, as direct heat can damage the leather and the foam insock.
