Because this jacket is made from cotton, proper care is essential to ensure longevity. Avoid machine washing, as this can degrade the protective finish of the fabric. Instead, clean the exterior with a cold-water sponge to remove surface dirt. If the weather-repellent finish begins to fade over time, the jacket should be professionally re-waxed according to the brand's recommended procedures. When storing, always hang the jacket on a sturdy, broad-shouldered hanger to maintain the shape of the collar and shoulders, and ensure it is kept in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated space to prevent mildew.
