The Dr. Martens Lowell Chukka is designed for adults seeking a blend of workwear heritage and contemporary durability. This boot offers exceptional comfort and traction through its signature air-cushioned BEN sole and rugged construction, making it an ideal choice for daily wear. One caveat is that the heavyweight leather requires a break-in period to achieve optimal comfort and flexibility.

While the leather is durable and protective, the boots are not classified as waterproof. We recommend using a water-repellent spray for added protection in wet weather.
These boots are sized in UK adult sizing. It is recommended to consult a standard size conversion chart if you are accustomed to US or EU sizing.
Yes, you can remove the existing insoles to replace them with orthotics or aftermarket insoles if preferred.
The break-in period typically ranges from a few days to a couple of weeks, depending on how often they are worn.
The Lowell Chukka features a standard fit. If you have particularly wide feet, you may find the initial break-in period requires more attention.
Clean regularly with a damp cloth and apply a neutral leather polish or conditioner to maintain the appearance and prevent the leather from drying out.
This is normal for heavy leather. Wear the boots for short periods at home to gradually soften the leather fibers.
Use a stiff-bristled brush to clear debris from the tread to maintain optimal traction.
Apply a recommended leather balm or conditioner to restore moisture and shine.
Because these boots are made from genuine, heavyweight leather, they arrive relatively stiff. To break them in, wear them for short durations indoors before transitioning to full-day use. To care for your boots, wipe them clean with a damp cloth to remove dirt or debris. Use a high-quality leather conditioner periodically to keep the material supple and prevent cracking. Store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to preserve the leather's integrity. Ensure you verify your UK sizing before purchase, as the fit should be snug but not restrictive around the midfoot.
