These are Firm Ground (FG) boots designed for natural grass. While they can be worn on artificial grass, the extra friction of turf surfaces may cause the studs to wear down faster than on natural soil.
Use a soft damp cloth to wipe down the surface. Avoid using a washing machine, as the high heat and agitation can damage the TPU film and bonding adhesives.
The Furon V9 Elite is designed for a performance, locked-down fit. We recommend ordering your standard size, though the mesh upper does provide some flexibility for foot shape adaptation.
It is positioned to provide additional surface area when you need to slow down suddenly or change direction, giving you more stability during sharp movements.
The upper is designed to be lightweight and breathable. While it features a thin TPU film that offers some water resistance, it is not fully waterproof.
Use a soft-bristled brush or a plastic scraper to gently remove debris from between the T-shaped studs after every match to maintain traction.
Ensure you are using the central lacing to find your ideal tension, and allow the boots a 'break-in' period of 2-3 training sessions for the mesh to soften.
Before your first match, it is recommended to wear the boots for short training sessions to allow the engineered mesh to mold to the contours of your feet. To maintain the condition of your Furon V9 Elite boots, clean them after every use by wiping away mud and grass with a damp cloth; avoid submerging them in water or using harsh detergents. After cleaning, store the boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, which can degrade the synthetic materials over time. Avoid using these on concrete, abrasive gravel, or hard artificial surfaces, as this will accelerate stud wear and compromise the structural integrity of the lightweight soleplate.
