Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Getting started with your adidas F50 Elite boots is straightforward. Simply slide your foot into the boot, ensuring the PRIMEKNIT mid-cut collar comfortably hugs your ankle. Lace them up securely, making sure the fit is snug across your instep and forefoot without being overly tight. A well-tied boot provides the best support and touch on the ball. Take a few steps to ensure full comfort before playing.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically engineered for Firm Ground (FG) surfaces. This means they are ideal for natural grass pitches that are dry to slightly damp. The stud configuration is designed to provide optimal grip and stability on these surfaces. It is not recommended to use these boots on Artificial Grass (AG), Soft Ground (SG), or indoor surfaces, as this can lead to accelerated wear and tear on the studs, compromise your grip, and potentially void any warranty.
Care
Proper care will extend the life and maintain the performance of your F50 Elite boots. Always clean your boots after each use:
- Remove Loose Dirt: Use a soft brush (like an old toothbrush) to gently remove any mud or loose dirt from the upper, soleplate, and studs.
- Wipe Clean: Dampen a cloth with lukewarm water and a mild soap solution. Gently wipe down the textile upper and synthetic sole. Avoid scrubbing vigorously.
- Rinse (Optional): If very muddy, you can lightly rinse the soleplate under a tap, being careful not to soak the upper.
- Air Dry: Remove the insoles and stuff the boots with newspaper or paper towels to absorb moisture and help them retain their shape. Allow them to air dry completely at room temperature, away from direct heat sources (like radiators or direct sunlight), which can cause materials to crack or shrink.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place. Using a boot bag can protect them from dust and scratches.
Do NOT machine wash or tumble dry your boots, as this can severely damage the materials and construction.
