FAQs

What type of oil should I use for the Loncin LC2000I-S?

The generator typically requires SAE 10W-30 oil. Always refer to the official user manual for the precise type and quantity recommended by Loncin.

How long can the generator run on a full tank of fuel?

At a 25% load, the generator can run for up to 7 hours on its 4.2-litre fuel tank. This duration will vary depending on the load applied.

Can I power standard 230V UK appliances with this generator?

No, this generator exclusively outputs 110V. You will need a step-up transformer or a different generator model to power 230V appliances.

What is the warranty period for the LC2000I-S?

Warranty details can vary by retailer and region. It is recommended to check the specific warranty information provided at the time of purchase or contact Loncin customer support.

How do I connect two LC2000I-S generators in parallel?

You will need a Loncin parallel connection kit (sold separately) to link two units together. Follow the instructions provided with the kit for safe and correct connection.

Is the generator suitable for use in the rain?

No, the generator should not be operated in wet conditions or heavy rain. It must be used in a well-ventilated, dry area to prevent damage and ensure safety.

What is the carbon emission rating?

The LC2000I-S features low carbon emissions due to its 4-stroke OHV engine, designed to be more environmentally friendly than older engine types.

Troubleshooting

Generator will not start

Check fuel level, ensure choke is in the correct position, verify oil level, and check the ignition switch.

No power output

Ensure the circuit breaker has not tripped. Check all connections and verify the engine is running.

Engine runs, but low power output

Check if the Eco Throttle is engaged and adjust engine speed if necessary. Ensure no blockages in the air intake or exhaust.

Overheating

Ensure adequate ventilation around the generator. Do not operate in enclosed spaces. Check for obstructions in cooling fins.

Unstable power output

Verify that the connected load does not exceed the generator's rated capacity. Ensure the engine is running at a consistent speed.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Extremely quiet operation suitable for campsites and residential areas.
Very portable due to its compact size and integrated handle.
Stable power output protects sensitive electronic equipment.
Fuel-efficient with Eco Throttle mode, reducing running costs.
Parallel capability allows for increased power output by linking two units.

Cons

Limited to 110V output, not suitable for standard 230V household appliances.
Rated wattage (1600W) may be insufficient for high-demand tools or multiple appliances simultaneously.
Requires a separate inverter generator for higher power needs via parallel connection.
Fuel tank capacity, while providing 7 hours run time, requires refilling for extended use.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup:

Ensure the generator is placed on a level, stable surface in a well-ventilated area.
Add the correct type and amount of engine oil (refer to the user manual for specifications).
Fill the fuel tank with fresh, unleaded gasoline.
Connect your 110V devices to the appropriate outlets.

Compatibility:

This generator is designed to output 110V. It is compatible with tools and equipment that specifically require a 110V power source. It is not directly compatible with standard 230V household appliances. For higher power needs, two LC2000i-S units can be linked using a parallel kit (sold separately).

Care:

Regular Maintenance: Follow the manufacturer's recommended maintenance schedule for oil changes, air filter cleaning, and spark plug checks.
Cleaning: Keep the exterior clean and free of dust and debris. Use a soft, damp cloth for cleaning; avoid harsh chemicals.
Storage: If storing for extended periods, use a fuel stabilizer and run the engine for a few minutes to ensure fuel is distributed. Store in a dry, protected location.
