FAQs

Can I choose the color of the lotas?

No, these items are sent in random colors; you cannot specify a color preference at checkout.

Are these jugs safe for children to use?

Yes, the lightweight design and ergonomic grooves are specifically intended to be user-friendly for children.

Will these fit under my bathroom sink tap?

They are designed to fit under standard-sized basin taps, which covers the vast majority of residential bathroom sinks.

Is the material BPA-free?

The jugs are made from durable HDPE, which is a common plastic used for water-safe storage.

How many jugs are included?

Each order includes a set of two watering jug lotas.

Can the jug be washed in a dishwasher?

While the material is durable, hand washing is recommended to ensure the interior is properly cleaned and to preserve the life of the plastic.

Troubleshooting

Jug surface feels slippery

Ensure the grooved handle is dry before use and clean the exterior with soap to remove any cosmetic residue.

Mineral deposits inside the jug

Fill the jug with a mixture of water and white vinegar, let it sit for 30 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Because these jugs are a static, one-piece plastic product, there is no assembly required—they are ready for use immediately upon unboxing.

Compatibility:

The jugs are compatible with standard-sized domestic basin taps. They are not intended for use with non-standard commercial faucets or extremely low-clearance sinks.

Care Instructions:

Routine Cleaning: Rinse the interior and exterior with warm water and a mild soap solution weekly to prevent mineral build-up.
Drying: Air dry the jugs upside down to prevent stagnant water from pooling at the base.
Maintenance: Do not use abrasive scouring pads, as these can scratch the HDPE surface and harbor bacteria over time.
