Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your Hugo Lytton Trainers remain in top condition, follow these guidelines:
- Breaking In: New leather footwear can feel firm; wear them for short durations indoors initially to allow the leather to soften and mold to your foot shape.
- Cleaning: Wipe the leather surface with a soft, slightly damp cloth to remove dust. For more stubborn marks, use a dedicated leather cleaner.
- Conditioning: Apply a leather conditioner every few months to keep the material supple and prevent cracking.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Use shoe trees to maintain the shape of the trainer when not in use.
- Weather Protection: Consider using a leather-safe water repellent spray if you plan to wear them in damp conditions, but test on a small, inconspicuous area first.
