The durabrasion rubber is formulated for high durability and resistance to wear, providing long-lasting traction across various trail surfaces. It is designed to withstand the abrasion common in hiking.

While they offer excellent cushioning, these are primarily designed as hiking shoes. Their weight and construction are optimized for support and durability on trails rather than the lightweight performance required for running.

Ensure laces are properly tightened to prevent water ingress around the collar. Check for any damage to the GORE-TEX bootie. Prolonged submersion may eventually allow moisture through.

Adjust the tension by sliding the lock mechanism. Ensure the laces are properly seated in the eyelets and the toggles are securely fastened. Re-tie if necessary.

Clean the outsole thoroughly with water to remove any mud or debris that may be trapped in the tread. Inspect the outsole for excessive wear.

Ensure you are wearing appropriate hiking socks. Adjust the lacing to alleviate pressure points. Break in the shoes gradually on shorter walks before undertaking long hikes.
