Montane Windjammer Lite Gloves - Black - Leather

The WINDSTOPPER® fabric offers windproof and water-resistant properties, but these gloves are not fully waterproof. They are best suited for dry or moderately wet conditions where wind is the primary concern.

These are 'Lite' gloves, optimized for breathability and dexterity. For prolonged exposure to sub-zero temperatures or high-altitude winter conditions, heavier insulated gloves would be more appropriate.

Refer to the brand's sizing chart, typically measured by hand circumference or length. Ensure a snug but not constricting fit for optimal dexterity and warmth.

Conditioning frequency depends on usage and environmental conditions. If the leather feels dry or stiff, or after significant use in dry environments, apply conditioner. Typically, once or twice a season might suffice for moderate use.

The fleece backer provides insulation by trapping warm air, while its grid structure enhances breathability, allowing moisture vapor to escape efficiently during high-exertion activities.

It is recommended to hand wash these gloves gently in cool water to preserve the material integrity and performance of the WINDSTOPPER® membrane and leather. Avoid machine washing and tumble drying.

Ensure fingertips are clean and dry. If the gloves are new, the sensitivity may increase with use. For older gloves, check if the leather has dried out and consider light conditioning.

These gloves are designed for wind protection and moderate cold. For extreme cold, consider using them as an outer layer over thinner liner gloves.

Apply a small amount of specialized leather conditioner to the palm and finger areas after the gloves have fully dried. Work it in gently and allow it to absorb.

Clean the leather palm with a slightly damp cloth to remove any dirt or residue that might be affecting grip. Ensure the leather is properly conditioned.
