FAQs

Are these sneakers true to size?

Yes, they generally run true to standard Converse sizing, but the platform style may feel slightly more secure due to the padding.

Can I wash these in the washing machine?

It is not recommended to machine wash these shoes, as it can damage the platform bonding and the specific floral print.

What is the CX foam technology?

CX is an innovative foam technology from Converse designed to provide enhanced comfort, support, and energy return.

How much height does the platform add?

The platform provides a substantial lift compared to the classic flat Converse silhouette, typically adding an extra inch or more.

Is the floral pattern printed or embroidered?

The floral pattern is a high-quality print applied to the canvas upper for a vibrant and clean look.

Troubleshooting

Heel slippage when walking

Ensure the laces are snug, particularly through the top eyelets, and consider using thicker socks until the heel counter softens.

Surface scuffing on the platform

Use a magic eraser or a specialized sneaker cleaner designed for rubber outsoles to gently remove marks.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Distinctive floral aesthetic
Enhanced height from platform sole
Lightweight CX foam cushioning
Sturdy and durable build quality
Trendy, modern design profile

Cons

Platform sole increases shoe weight
Floral pattern may not match all wardrobes
Requires break-in time for stiff heel counters

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure your Converse Run Star Legacy CX trainers remain in top condition, follow these care steps. Since these feature a unique floral pattern, avoid using harsh industrial cleaners or bleach, which could fade the design. For everyday dirt, spot clean the canvas upper with a soft cloth, mild soap, and water. Allow them to air dry naturally away from direct heat sources to prevent the glue in the platform sole from weakening. If you wear them daily, consider alternating them with another pair of shoes to allow the foam cushioning to fully decompress and recover its shape.
