Full details

The Trakker Tempest RS Brolly Overwrap is the essential upgrade for dedicated anglers who use the Tempest RS shelter during late-season, autumn, or winter campaigns. Designed to transform your single-skin shelter into a high-performance twin-skin system, it provides superior heat retention and significantly minimizes condensation buildup in cold weather. While it adds substantial comfort and extra storage space for gear like waders, users should note that it increases the total footprint and setup time of the shelter system.

FAQs

Is the overwrap compatible with other Tempest models?

This specific version is designed exclusively for the Tempest RS Brolly. Always verify your specific model number before purchasing.

Does the wrap include a door?

Yes, it includes an integrated door that can be configured in multiple styles, including clear window attachment.

How do I maintain the hydrostatic head rating?

Avoid using harsh cleaners or washing machines. Gentle cleaning with plain water will preserve the waterproof coating.

Can the wrap be used in the summer?

While intended for insulation, you can roll back the sides to increase airflow, though it is primarily designed for autumn and winter.

What is the hydrostatic head rating of this material?

The fabric features a high-performance 25000mm hydrostatic head rating.

Troubleshooting

Fabric appears to sag after installation

Ensure the rear anchor points are pulled tight and the frame tension is balanced across both sides.

Difficulty zipping the front door

Check that the base of the wrap is correctly aligned with the shelter; if the base is skewed, the door alignment will be affected.

Internal condensation remains high

Ensure the wrap is properly tensioned to maintain the gap between the skin and the shelter, and utilize the ventilation configurations.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Significantly improves thermal retention for cold-weather sessions
Effectively eliminates condensation inside the shelter
Adds useful interior storage space
Includes essential accessories like clear window and high-quality pegs
Industry-leading 25000mm hydrostatic head rating for total waterproof protection

Cons

Requires extra setup time compared to the brolly alone
Increases the total weight of your kit
Requires more pegging space at the swim

Setup, Compatibility & Care

This overwrap is specifically engineered to fit the Trakker Tempest RS Brolly (MPN 200707). Before beginning, ensure your Tempest RS is fully secured with its original pegs to maintain the correct profile. Drape the wrap evenly over the brolly frame, align the front doorway, and anchor the perimeter using the included pegs. Always pull the tension points outward to ensure the fabric remains taut, which aids in water runoff and prevents sagging.

For care, never store the Aquatexx fabric while damp; ensure the wrap is completely dry before packing it into the included carry bag to prevent mold growth. Clean the fabric using a soft brush and lukewarm water—avoid detergents as they can compromise the 25000mm hydrostatic head coating.
