Product Information

Full details

The Adidas Essential Training Gloves are designed for athletes seeking enhanced comfort and hand protection during weightlifting and various gym workouts. Their key benefit is safeguarding your hands against calluses and blisters while promoting airflow to keep you cool and dry. A potential caveat is that fit can vary, so checking the size chart is recommended. These gloves feature Aeroready material for sweat-wicking, a ventilated palm, a suedette palm for durability, and a secure hook-and-loop wrist fastening with easy-on/off tabs.

FAQs

Are these gloves suitable for cycling?

While they offer good hand protection, these gloves are primarily designed for gym and weightlifting activities. They may not provide the specific grip or padding optimized for cycling handlebars.

How do I determine the correct size?

Refer to the Adidas sizing chart, which typically involves measuring the circumference of your palm and hand length. A snug fit is recommended for optimal performance and protection.

Can I wash these gloves in a washing machine?

It is not recommended. Machine washing can damage the Aeroready material and suedette palm. Hand washing in cold water with mild detergent is the preferred method.

How long do these gloves typically last?

With proper care and regular use, the Adidas Essential Training Gloves are designed for durability. Longevity depends on the frequency of use and the intensity of the workouts.

Do these gloves offer wrist support?

The hook-and-loop wrist fastening provides a secure fit and some degree of support by stabilizing the wrist area during lifting, but they are not rigid wrist wraps.

What is the primary benefit of the suedette palm?

The suedette palm offers a durable, non-slip surface that enhances grip while protecting your hands from calluses, blisters, and pinching during weight training.

Troubleshooting

Gloves feel too tight or too loose

Adjust the hook-and-loop wrist strap for a more secure or relaxed fit. If the size is fundamentally incorrect, consider exchanging for a different size based on the size chart.

Reduced sweat-wicking performance over time

Ensure the gloves are clean. Dirt and residue can impede the Aeroready material's effectiveness. Follow the care instructions for proper cleaning.

Suedette palm showing signs of wear

While designed for durability, excessive abrasion can cause wear. Ensure you are using the correct grip techniques and avoid dragging the palm across rough surfaces unnecessarily.

Difficulty removing the gloves

Utilize the dual finger pulls designed for easy removal. Ensure they are not snagged on anything and pull firmly but gently upwards.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Excellent hand protection against common workout-related skin issues.
  • Effective sweat management through Aeroready material and ventilation.
  • Durable suedette palm designed for long-lasting use.
  • User-friendly design with easy fastening and removal features.
  • Suitable for a wide range of gym and training activities.

Cons

  • Sizing may require careful attention to ensure a proper fit.
  • May not offer the same level of extreme cushioning as specialized weightlifting gear.
  • Suedette material may require specific cleaning methods to maintain its condition.
  • Primarily focused on protection and comfort rather than advanced grip enhancement.

Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions

Setup:

These gloves require no specific setup beyond adjusting the hook-and-loop wrist fastening to your comfort and preferred tightness. Ensure the gloves fit snugly but do not restrict blood flow.

Compatibility:

The Adidas Essential Training Gloves are compatible with a wide range of fitness activities, including:

  • Weightlifting
  • Gym workouts
  • Cross-training
  • Functional fitness
  • Outdoor training

Care:

To maintain the longevity and performance of your gloves:

  1. Cleaning: Hand wash with mild detergent in cold water. Avoid machine washing or drying, as this can damage the materials.
  2. Drying: Gently squeeze out excess water and air dry on a flat surface away from direct sunlight or heat.
  3. Storage: Store in a cool, dry place. Avoid folding them tightly for extended periods to prevent creasing.
