Setup, Compatibility & Care
Getting Started
- Lacing: Before playing, ensure the laces are threaded correctly and tied securely. A double knot can prevent laces from coming undone during play, providing consistent support.
- Break-In Period: Like most football boots, the Goletto VIII may require a short break-in period. Wear them for shorter periods during training sessions initially to allow the boots to adapt to your foot shape and prevent discomfort on match days.
Compatibility (Surface Use)
These adidas Goletto VIII boots are specifically designed for Firm Ground (FG) pitches. This means they are best suited for:
- Natural Grass Pitches: Surfaces that are typically dry and firm, offering good resistance.
Do NOT use these boots on:
- Artificial Grass (AG)
- Soft Ground (SG)
- Indoor Surfaces (IC/IN)
Using FG boots on unsuitable surfaces can lead to reduced performance, accelerated wear of the outsole and studs, and potential injury.
Product Care
Proper care extends the life and maintains the performance of your boots. Always refer to the specific care instructions on the product label upon purchase for the most accurate guidance. General care tips include:
- Cleaning After Use: Immediately after each use, wipe off excess dirt and mud from the upper and outsole with a damp cloth or a soft brush. Avoid using abrasive materials.
- Drying: Allow your boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not place them near direct heat sources like radiators, heaters, or in direct sunlight, as this can damage the synthetic materials and cause them to crack or warp.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Consider using a boot bag to protect them during transport.
- Materials: The boots are made from synthetics and textile (Polyester). Avoid harsh cleaning chemicals that could degrade these materials.
