The Veja Volley trainers have a classic fit. While they are not specifically designed for wide feet, the lace-up closure allows for some adjustment. Trying them on if possible is recommended.
Any comfortable socks will work. For maximum comfort with the textile lining, consider moisture-wicking socks made from cotton or synthetic blends.
No, these trainers are made of leather and should not be put in a washing machine. Cleaning should be done by hand using a damp cloth and appropriate leather care products.
It is recommended to waterproof them before the first wear. Re-waterproof them periodically, perhaps once or twice a year depending on wear and exposure to elements, or whenever you notice water is no longer beading on the surface.
The Veja Volley trainers feature a flat heel, designed for comfort rather than height.
With proper waterproofing, they can withstand light rain. However, they are not designed for heavy downpours or prolonged exposure to wet conditions. It's best to avoid wearing them in very wet weather to prolong their lifespan.
The outsole is made of structured fine leather.
This is common with new leather. Wear them for short periods initially to break them in. Ensure you have waterproofed them as recommended, which can sometimes soften the leather slightly.
This can happen if the trainers were not adequately waterproofed. Try cleaning with a damp cloth and allowing to dry naturally. For stubborn marks, consult a leather care specialist.
Replace laces with a similar material. Ensure laces are not tied too tightly, which can cause unnecessary stress.
Ensure the soles are clean and free of debris. The structured leather outsole provides grip, but may be less effective on extremely smooth or wet surfaces. Consider a sole protector if needed for specific activities.
