Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Using your Regatta Daysha Waterproof Jacket is straightforward:
- Wear: Simply put on the jacket over your chosen layers.
- Adjust Hood: If rain begins, pull on the hood for immediate head and neck protection.
Compatibility
- Layering: This jacket is designed as an outer shell. It is highly compatible with various mid-layers (like fleeces or insulated jackets) and base layers to adapt to different temperatures.
- Activities: Suitable for a wide range of outdoor activities including hiking, walking, camping, and general outdoor use.
Care Instructions
Proper care will extend the life and performance of your waterproof jacket:
- Washing: Always refer to the care label inside the jacket. Generally, machine wash cold (around 30°C) on a gentle cycle with a small amount of liquid detergent. Avoid powder detergents, fabric softeners, and bleach, as these can damage the waterproof finish.
- Rinsing: Ensure the jacket is thoroughly rinsed to remove all detergent residues.
- Drying: Air dry the jacket by hanging it. Avoid tumble drying on high heat, which can damage the fabric's waterproof membrane or taped seams. Low heat tumble drying might be acceptable if specified on the care label, often used to reactivate DWR.
- Re-proofing: Over time, the Durable Water Repellent (DWR) finish on the outer fabric may wear off, causing water to soak in rather than bead up. When this happens, re-apply a specialist DWR re-proofer spray or wash-in product, following the product's instructions.
- Storage: Store the jacket clean and dry in a cool, well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight.
