Wipe the upper with a damp cloth. For the footbed, use a specialized cork cleaner.
The uppers are water-resistant, but the cork footbed is not waterproof and should be kept dry.
Store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Refer to the Birkenstock size chart and measure your feet. Note that the 'Narrow Fit' might be a standard fit in other brands.
Yes, the straps can be replaced if they are damaged or worn out.
With proper care, Birkenstock sandals can last for many years. The longevity depends on usage and maintenance.
Wear them for short periods initially and gradually increase the wear time as the cork footbed molds to your feet.
The 'Narrow Fit' is designed for narrower feet. It's important to check the fit as it may correspond to a standard fit in other brands.
Loosen the buckle straps. Ensure you have the correct size and consider the break-in period for the footbed to soften.
Use a cork sealer to protect and repair minor damage. Avoid prolonged exposure to water and heat.
Inspect the buckles and straps regularly for wear and tear. Replace them if necessary. Clean the straps with appropriate leather or synthetic cleaner, depending on the material.
Ensure the soles are clean. Consider using a non-slip insole if the issue persists.
