Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
There's no complex setup for the Nike Air Zoom Victory. Upon receiving your spikes:
- Inspect: Check all spikes are securely tightened in their receptacles. Use a spike wrench if any feel loose.
- Fit: Lace up the shoes to achieve a snug, comfortable fit. The FlyKnit AtomKnit upper should feel like a second skin without being overly constrictive. Ensure your heel is locked in to prevent slippage during runs.
Compatibility
- Surface: These spikes are designed exclusively for track and field surfaces. They are not intended for asphalt, concrete, or grass running, which can damage the spikes and the shoe's specialized plate.
- Events: Optimized for middle-distance events (e.g., 800m, 1500m, mile, 3000m).
- Athlete: Ideal for competitive and elite runners seeking maximum performance in track races.
Care Instructions
Proper care extends the life and performance of your Nike Air Zoom Victory spikes:
- Cleaning: After use, gently wipe down the upper with a soft, damp cloth to remove dirt and track residue. For the spike plate, use a small brush or old toothbrush to clean between the spikes. Do not machine wash or tumble dry.
- Drying: Allow shoes to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct sunlight or heat sources, which can damage materials.
- Storage: Store your spikes in a cool, dry place, ideally in a breathable shoe bag or box. Keep them away from extreme temperatures and humidity.
- Spike Maintenance: Periodically check the tightness of your spikes. Replace worn or broken spikes as needed. Info needed: [Specific spike replacement guide/recommendation from Nike]
