Setup, Compatibility & Care
Getting Started
Simply put on the dress as you would any other garment. The bias cut means it will conform to your figure gracefully. No complex setup is required.
Compatibility & Styling
- Footwear: Best paired with heels (strappy, block, or stilettos) to enhance the midi length and elegant drape. Flats can be worn for a more relaxed, yet still sophisticated, look.
- Accessories: Complement with delicate or statement jewelry depending on the occasion. A clutch or small shoulder bag works well. Fascinators or elegant hats are suitable for formal daytime events like race days.
- Outerwear: A tailored blazer, a chic trench coat, or an elegant shawl can complete the outfit, providing warmth and style without detracting from the dress's silhouette.
Care & Maintenance
Given the crinkle satin material, proper care is crucial to maintain the dress's luxurious appearance:
- Washing: Hand wash cold with a mild detergent, or use a machine's delicate cycle with cold water. Place the dress in a mesh laundry bag if machine washing to protect the fabric.
- Drying: Do not tumble dry. Gently squeeze out excess water, then lay flat on a clean, dry towel or hang on a padded hanger away from direct sunlight to air dry. Satin dries relatively quickly.
- Ironing/Steaming: Use a steamer for best results to remove wrinkles without direct heat. If ironing, use the lowest heat setting (silk/satin setting) and iron on the *reverse side* of the fabric with a pressing cloth to prevent scorching or shine marks. Avoid stretching the fabric while ironing.
- Storage: Store on a padded hanger in a cool, dry place to prevent creasing and preserve the fabric. Avoid hanging in direct sunlight for prolonged periods.
