Setup, Compatibility & Care
This jacket requires no setup; it is ready to wear upon arrival. It is compatible with most casual and some smart-casual outfits. To ensure the longevity and appearance of your leather jacket:
- Cleaning: For minor dirt, use a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or excessive water, as this can damage the leather and the patches.
- Conditioning: Periodically (every 6-12 months, depending on climate and use), condition the leather with a specialized leather conditioner to keep it supple and prevent cracking. Test the conditioner on an inconspicuous area first.
- Storage: Store the jacket on a wide, padded hanger to maintain its shape. Keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity. Avoid plastic garment bags, as leather needs to breathe; a breathable garment bag is preferable.
- Protection: Protect the leather from rain and harsh weather. If the jacket gets wet, allow it to air dry naturally away from heat sources. Do not use direct heat to dry leather.
- Patch Care: Be cautious when cleaning around the patches. Gentle wiping is recommended. Avoid ironing directly on the patches.
