Product Information

Full details

The Hauck Sleeper Mattress (Grey, 60x120cm) is designed for parents seeking a comfortable and portable sleep surface for their baby or toddler, whether in a travel cot, at home, or during visits. Its key benefit is providing a familiar and cozy sleeping environment on the go. A minor caveat is that it's a foam mattress, which might be warmer than spring options for some children. This 5cm thick foam mattress fits all Hauck travel cots, offering a supportive and comfortable lying surface. It's lightweight, foldable into three sections, and comes with a carry bag, making it easy to transport. It can also function as a practical play mat.

FAQs

What are the exact dimensions of the mattress?

The Hauck Sleeper Mattress has a lying surface of 60 x 120 cm and is 5 cm thick.

Does the mattress come with a carry bag?

Yes, the mattress is foldable into three parts and comes with an included bag for easy transportation.

Can I use this mattress in a crib that isn't a Hauck travel cot?

While designed for Hauck travel cots, it may fit other cribs or playpens if their internal dimensions are approximately 60 x 120 cm. Always measure carefully to ensure a safe and snug fit, without gaps.

Is the mattress waterproof?

The foam mattress itself is not waterproof. It is recommended to use a waterproof mattress protector or a fitted sheet to protect it from spills and accidents.

How should I clean the mattress?

Clean the mattress with a damp cloth. Avoid soaking it or using harsh chemicals. Allow it to air dry completely.

What is the recommended age for this mattress?

The mattress is suitable from 0 months (newborn) onwards, providing a safe sleeping surface for babies and toddlers.

Can I wash the mattress cover?

This product is a foam mattress and does not have a removable cover. The mattress itself should be cleaned with a damp cloth, not washed.

Troubleshooting

Mattress has an odor upon arrival

Allow the mattress to air out in a well-ventilated area for 24-48 hours. The odor is typical for new foam products and should dissipate.

Mattress doesn't lie flat

Ensure the mattress is fully unfolded and has been allowed to rest for a while. Placing it in a travel cot for a few hours can help it settle flat. Check that the travel cot base is also flat and stable.

Child seems uncomfortable

Ensure a fitted sheet is used for added comfort. For very young infants, consider the firmness and temperature; some children sleep better on cooler surfaces. Verify the mattress is placed correctly within the travel cot.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Provides a consistent and comfortable sleeping surface when away from home.
Highly portable due to its lightweight, foldable design and included carry bag.
Versatile, usable for both sleeping and as a play mat.
Made with tested materials ensuring safety for babies.
Fits all Hauck travel cots, offering convenient compatibility.

Cons

Foam construction may be warmer than other mattress types during hot weather.
Requires a separate fitted sheet for optimal comfort and hygiene.
Only 5cm thick, which may not be sufficient for long-term, primary use without a supportive base.
Primarily designed for travel cots, may not fit standard cribs.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup: Unfold the mattress from its carry bag. If using with a Hauck travel cot, simply place the mattress inside. Ensure it lies flat and is secure within the cot's base. For hygiene and added comfort, it is recommended to use a fitted sheet, such as the Hauck Bed Me fitted sheet (sold separately).

Compatibility: This mattress is designed to fit all Hauck travel cots with a lying surface of 120 x 60 cm. It measures 60 x 120 cm with a height of 5 cm.

Care: To clean the mattress, use a damp cloth to wipe down the surface. Avoid harsh detergents or abrasive cleaners. Allow the mattress to air dry completely before use or storage. The mattress is made of foam and should not be machine washed or tumble dried.
