Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the longevity of your HOKA Challenger 8 shoes, proper care is essential. When fitting, ensure your foot has enough room in the toe box for swelling during long hikes, but verify there is no significant heel lift when walking. For maintenance, remove surface dirt after each hike using a soft brush to prevent grit from damaging the fabric. If the shoes become soaked or muddy, rinse with cold water and air dry naturally in a cool, ventilated space. Avoid using a clothes dryer or placing them directly on a heater, as intense heat can damage the foam midsole and the GORE-TEX membrane integrity.
