Troubleshooting

Zipper is difficult to open or close

Check for any fabric or thread caught in the zipper teeth. Gently try to remove the obstruction. Apply a small amount of graphite (from a pencil) or a specialized zipper lubricant to the teeth and try again.

Laptop sleeve feels too tight

Ensure the laptop or tablet is within the specified size limits (16" MacBook / 12.9" tablet). Forcing a larger device may damage it or the sleeve.

Pack feels uncomfortable when worn

Ensure all straps (shoulder, sternum, hipbelt) are properly adjusted to distribute weight evenly. If not using the hipbelt, ensure shoulder straps are tightened appropriately.

External lash points are snagging on items

Be mindful when placing the bag down or maneuvering through tight spaces. Consider using these points only for specific gear or ensuring items attached are secure and streamlined.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Carry-on compliant design for convenient air travel.
  • Excellent internal organization with compression straps and mesh pockets.
  • Dedicated, protective sleeve for laptops and tablets.
  • Discreet security features like SafeZone and CashStash compartments.
  • Comfortable to carry with stowable straps and padded hipbelt.
  • Durable polyester material suitable for travel.

Cons

  • Carry-on size may vary slightly by airline; verification is recommended.
  • Weight of 1.44kg may be a factor for ultra-light packers.
  • External lash points might snag if not carefully managed.
  • While spacious at 40L, it might be insufficient for extended trips requiring more gear.
  • Does not include an integrated rain cover (sold separately).

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup:

  1. Adjust Straps: Before wearing, adjust the shoulder straps and sternum strap for a comfortable fit. If using the hipbelt, ensure it sits correctly on your hips.
  2. Stow Straps: For checking the bag or carrying it differently, tuck the shoulder straps and hipbelt into their designated compartments.
  3. Secure Valuables: Utilize the SafeZone and CashStash compartments for important items like passports, cash, and keys. Lockable zipper pulls can be used with a small padlock (not included) for added security.

Compatibility:

  • Laptop/Tablet: Fits up to a 16" MacBook and a 12.9" tablet.
  • Airline Carry-On: Designed to be carry-on compliant for most airlines. However, always confirm specific airline size and weight restrictions before traveling as they can vary.

Care:

  • Cleaning: Clean the exterior and interior with a damp cloth. Avoid harsh detergents or abrasive cleaners, as they can damage the fabric.
  • Drying: Air dry the pack completely after cleaning. Do not use direct heat sources like hairdryers.
  • Storage: Store in a cool, dry place when not in use. Ensure all compartments are empty and zippers are closed.
