Product Information

Full details

The Nike Barcelona Strike Drill Training Top is designed for young athletes who demand professional-grade performance gear for their training sessions. Featuring Nike's signature Dri-FIT moisture-wicking technology, this top helps keep players dry and comfortable while maintaining a focused, slim fit that facilitates agility on the pitch. While the streamlined construction offers excellent freedom of movement, the slim fit may feel restrictive for children who prefer a more relaxed or loose-fitting garment.

FAQs

Is this top suitable for everyday wear?

While designed for training, its athletic style makes it suitable for casual wear, though the slim fit is intended specifically for sports.

Can I put this in the tumble dryer?

It is recommended to air dry to protect the technical fibers, but you can use a low-heat cycle if absolutely necessary.

What does the slim fit mean for sizing?

Slim fit means the garment is cut closer to the body; if your child prefers a looser feel, you may want to consider sizing up.

Does this top provide UV protection?

The material is not specifically rated for UV protection, but it does provide basic coverage while outdoors.

How do I know which size is right for my child?

This model is listed by age and UK sizing, such as 9-10; check the product dimensions against the child's chest and height measurements for the best fit.

Troubleshooting

Fabric feels damp after training

Ensure you are not wearing non-breathable cotton layers underneath, which trap moisture.

Sleeves slide out of thumbholes

Verify that the sleeve is pulled correctly; if it continues, ensure the size corresponds to the child's current measurements.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Excellent moisture management with Dri-FIT technology
  • Streamlined cut prevents fabric from bunching
  • Convenient quarter-zip for temperature regulation
  • Thumbholes provide a secure, athletic fit
  • Durable polyester material for long-lasting use

Cons

  • Slim fit cut may be tight for some body types
  • Limited to specific team branding
  • Requires careful washing to maintain moisture-wicking properties

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure the longevity of the garment's moisture-wicking performance, follow these care instructions:

  1. Washing: Machine wash inside out with similar colors in cool water.
  2. Detergents: Avoid using bleach or heavy fabric softeners, as these can clog the Dri-FIT fibers and reduce breathability.
  3. Drying: Air dry whenever possible. If machine drying is necessary, use a low-heat setting to avoid damaging the synthetic fibers.
  4. Compatibility: This top pairs well with other training gear, such as compression shorts or training trousers, for a complete football kit setup.
