Ridgeline Monarch Gilet - Green - XL

Moleskin Tech-Knit Supreme is a blend of cotton, nylon, and polyester that is woven to a heavy 380gsm. It offers greater durability, faster drying times, better wind resistance, and increased warmth compared to traditional cotton moleskin, without sacrificing a comfortable feel.

The Monarch Gilet has a durable water-repellent (DWR) treatment, which helps shed light rain and moisture. It is not fully waterproof and is best suited for dry or mildly wet conditions, or as a warm layer under a waterproof outer shell.

The fabric used in the Monarch Gilet is a heavy 380gsm (grams per square meter).

The gilet provides good warmth for its weight and is ideal for layering. In very cold conditions, it should be worn as part of a layering system, combined with a warm base layer and an insulating mid-layer or outer jacket.

To maintain the DWR treatment, avoid using fabric softeners or bleach during washing. Tumble drying on a low heat setting after washing can help reactivate the DWR. Periodically reapply a DWR treatment according to product instructions.

The primary materials are 46% polyester, 7% Nylon, and 47% cotton.

The gilet features premium YKK zips throughout for enhanced durability and smooth operation.

Gently clean the zipper teeth with a small brush. Apply a small amount of graphite (from a pencil tip) or a silicone-based zipper lubricant to the teeth and work the zipper back and forth.

Ensure the gilet is properly layered. For maximum warmth, wear it over insulating base or mid-layers. Check that the hem and collar are adjusted to prevent drafts.

The DWR treatment may need refreshing. Clean the garment thoroughly and then apply a suitable DWR spray or wash-in treatment according to the product's instructions.

Pilling can occur with knitted fabrics. Try using a fabric shaver to gently remove any small pills. Ensure washing instructions (gentle cycle, mild detergent) are followed to minimize future pilling.
