No, it is highly recommended to avoid bleach and abrasive cleaners as they can damage the finish and potentially the soft-close mechanism.
Most Connect Air models feature a quick-release button or lever at the base of the hinges. Press this and lift the seat vertically off the pan.
Ensure the seat is clean and free of debris. If the issue persists, the hinge components may need to be replaced.
The seat is manufactured from high-quality, durable materials designed specifically for bathroom environments, providing a balance of strength and hygiene.
Check the hinge mechanisms for obstructions or damage. If the soft-close fluid dampers have leaked, the hinges may need to be replaced.
Ensure the hinge mounting bolts are fully tightened underneath the pan. If the seat continues to shift, verify that the hinge base plate is centered correctly.
Clean around the buttons to remove any grime or dried cleaning products, then apply a small amount of non-corrosive lubricant if necessary.
Installation of the Ideal Standard Connect Air seat involves securing the provided hinge mounts to the toilet pan before attaching the seat. Because this seat is specifically designed for the Connect Air series, it is essential to check the model number of your toilet pan (MPN: T467701) to ensure the mounting points align correctly. For ongoing care, clean the seat using a soft cloth and a mild, non-abrasive detergent. Avoid using harsh chemicals, bleach, or abrasive scouring pads, as these can dull the surface or damage the soft-close mechanism. Periodically check that the hinge bolts remain tight to ensure the seat does not shift during use.
