Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- First Fit: When trying on, ensure there is about a thumb's width of space between your longest toe and the end of the boot. The fit should be snug but not uncomfortably tight.
- Lacing: Lace the boots firmly from bottom to top, ensuring a secure and locked-down feel around the midfoot and ankle. Double-knotting the laces can prevent them from coming undone during play.
- Break-In Period: Wear the boots for a few short sessions before a game. This can be during light training or just walking around. This helps the material mold to your foot shape, enhancing comfort and reducing the risk of blisters.
Compatibility
These boots feature an `FG/MG` (Firm Ground/Multi-Ground) soleplate, making them compatible with:
- Firm, Natural Grass Pitches: Ideal for most natural grass football fields, especially when the ground is dry to slightly damp.
- Some Artificial Grass (AG) Pitches: Can be used on modern artificial surfaces (e.g., 2G or 3G pitches with longer pile). Avoid using them on older, sand-based artificial turf (1G) or very hard ground, as this can damage the studs and cause discomfort.
Care
Proper care will extend the life and performance of your boots:
- Cleaning After Use: Immediately after play, remove excess dirt and mud from the upper and soleplate using a soft brush or cloth. Avoid letting mud dry on the boots.
- Washing: For stubborn dirt, use a damp cloth with mild soap. Do not submerge the boots in water or wash them in a washing machine, as this can damage the materials and adhesives.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct sunlight, radiators, or tumble dryers, as high heat can cause materials to crack or shrink.
- Storage: Store boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Consider using boot trees or stuffing them with newspaper to help maintain their shape and absorb moisture.
