Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Getting started with Frenchic Lazy Range Paint is straightforward:
- Clean Surface: Begin by thoroughly cleaning your furniture or surface. Use a degreaser for kitchen items and ensure all dust, dirt, and loose particles are removed. Allow the surface to dry completely.
- Light Sanding (Optional but Recommended for Glossy/Waxy): For very shiny, glossy, or previously waxed surfaces, a light scuff-sand can improve adhesion, though the paint is self-priming.
- Stir Well: Open the tin and stir the paint thoroughly with a stir stick until it has a consistent texture and color.
- Protect Your Area: Lay down dust sheets or newspaper to protect surrounding surfaces from paint drips.
Compatibility
Frenchic Lazy Range Paint is highly versatile for interior use:
- Surfaces: Wood, laminate, previously painted or varnished furniture, kitchen cupboards, built-in furniture, interior woodwork, trims, skirting boards, and doors.
- Safety: Certified EN71-3, making it safe for children's toys and nursery furniture.
- Finish: Designed for a durable, matte finish.
Care
Proper care will ensure the longevity of your painted items:
- Curing Time: While touch dry quickly, allow the paint to fully cure for several weeks (Info needed: [Specific full cure time]) before subjecting it to heavy use or scrubbing. This ensures maximum durability.
- Cleaning: Once cured, painted surfaces can be wiped clean with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as these can damage the matte finish.
- Storage: Store the paint tin in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure the lid is tightly sealed to prevent drying out.
