Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Lacing: Before your first wear, ensure the boots are laced securely through all rustproof hardware eyelets. Adjust the laces evenly to achieve a snug, comfortable fit across your foot and around your ankle, providing optimal support.
- Break-In Period: While comfortable from the start, allow a short break-in period (e.g., a few short walks) for the premium nubuck leather to conform to your foot shape.
Compatibility:
These boots are ideal for:
- Day hiking on varied terrains
- Weekend outdoor excursions and camping
- Light-to-moderate trail walking
- General outdoor casual wear where durability and traction are valued.
Care:
- Cleaning the Upper: For the premium nubuck leather, gently brush off loose dirt with a soft brush. For stubborn marks, use a specialized nubuck cleaner and follow the product's instructions. Avoid harsh chemicals or excessive water, which can damage the material.
- Cleaning the Outsoles: After outdoor use, clean the rubber lug outsoles of any trapped mud, small stones, or debris using a stiff brush and water to maintain optimal traction.
- Drying: If the boots get wet, allow them to air dry naturally at room temperature, away from direct heat sources, to prevent the leather from cracking.
- Protection: Consider applying a nubuck protector spray to enhance water resistance and guard against stains, as recommended by the manufacturer.
- Storage: Store boots in a cool, dry place when not in use.
