The LS2 MX708 Fast 2 Helmet is designed for adult male off-road riders seeking a lightweight, safe, and comfortable helmet. Its key benefit is the advanced KPA material offering high impact resistance and a low weight, certified to ECE 22.06 standards. A potential caveat is its specific lang-oval shape, which may not fit all head shapes perfectly.

ECE 22.06 is the latest European safety standard for motorcycle helmets. It signifies that the helmet has passed rigorous testing for impact absorption, penetration resistance, and structural integrity under various conditions, offering a higher level of protection than previous standards.
While the helmet meets safety standards, its design, including the peak and ventilation, is optimized for off-road and motocross use. It may not provide the same level of aerodynamic stability or noise reduction required for high-speed street riding.
The comfort liner is removable. You can gently hand wash it with mild soap and cool water. Allow it to air dry completely before reinserting. Do not use a washing machine or dryer.
KPA stands for Kinetic Polymer Alloy. It's a proprietary blend developed by LS2, combining polycarbonate and thermoplastics. It's known for being ultra-lightweight, offering high resistance to impacts and penetration, while also having some flexibility for better energy dispersion.
The helmet is specifically designed to be compatible with the LS2 goggles range for a perfect fit. While other brands might fit, the optimal fit and seal are typically achieved with LS2 goggles.
The helmet weighs approximately 1500 grams, plus or minus 50 grams, depending on the shell size.
The Emergency Release System is designed for use by trained first responders. It typically involves pulling on red tabs located inside the helmet liner, allowing for quick and safe removal of the helmet without putting pressure on the rider's neck.
Adjust the chin strap using the Double D-Ring system. For fit issues, consider if aftermarket cheek pads or liner could be used, or if a different size might be necessary. The lang-oval shape is specific; try it on carefully.
Ensure the liner is clean and dry. If the issue persists, it might be a reaction to the material or a fit issue. Wash the liner as per care instructions. If irritation continues, consult a medical professional.
Check that the screws securing the peak are tightened properly. Ensure no debris is caught where the peak attaches.
Inspect all vents (top, chin, exhaust) and clear any obstructions such as dirt, mud, or insects. Ensure the internal channeled EPS is not blocked.
Setup:
This helmet comes ready to wear. Ensure the Double D-Ring chin strap is securely fastened for every ride. The peak can be adjusted or removed if desired by following the specific instructions for detaching and reattaching the screws.
Compatibility:
Designed to be compatible with the LS2 range of goggles for a seamless fit. The internal volume and shape are intended for off-road use.
