FAQs

What drill bit size should I use?

You should use an 8mm drill bit.

What materials is the DuoPower suitable for?

The DuoPower is suitable for brick, concrete, and other solid building materials.

What is the maximum screw diameter?

The maximum screw diameter is 5mm.

How do I choose the right screw length?

The required screw length is determined by adding the plug length, the fixture thickness, and one times the screw diameter.

Can I use the DuoPower for hanging heavy objects?

The DuoPower is suitable for many applications, but for very heavy items, consider the load capacity and use additional support if needed.

What if the plug spins when I try to tighten the screw?

Ensure the hole is the correct diameter (8mm). If the hole is too large, the plug may spin. Make sure the plug's anti-rotation feature engages with the hole.

Troubleshooting

Plug rotates in the hole during installation.

Ensure the drill hole is the correct size (8mm). If the hole is too large, use a larger plug or fill the hole with a suitable material before inserting the plug. Verify the anti-rotation feature is fully engaged.

Screw doesn't tighten or feels loose.

Check if the screw length is appropriate for the fixture and wall thickness. Use a longer screw if needed. Make sure the plug is fully expanded within the wall material. If the hole is stripped, consider a larger plug or alternative fixing method.

Plug slips into the wall during insertion.

Ensure the drill hole is the correct size and not too deep. Use a hammer to gently tap the plug flush with the wall surface if needed. Use a plug with a rim to prevent it from slipping into the hole.
