Rostex Super Metal Primer is a solvent-based, anti-corrosive primer paint for metal surfaces. It is intended for professional trade use. This primer is available in three undercoat colours: Grey, Red, and Black. It can be used on zinc-coated steel and roughened aluminium surfaces, including roofs, gutters, down pipes, and railings, as well as copper, brass, and stainless steel. The primer leaves a matt finish and creates an adhesive surface layer for subsequent painting. It is compatible with other alkyd paints (e.g., Miranol, Unica, and Panssarimaali) or water-based paints (such as Panssari Akva). Touch dry in 2-4 hours and re-coatable in 6 hours for oil-based paints or 48 hours for water-based paints. It provides effective and durable protection from rust. Application can be done with a brush, roller, or spray.
